How to use Sam ?

Who is Sam?

Sam is your team’s cyber security companion, helping to improve your company’s security and ensure compliance.

Sam supports your employees in maintaining compliance and reducing cyber risks: phishing, data leaks, risky application usage, and public file sharing.

Sam integrates with Slack, Teams, Google Chat or via Email.

With Sam, security becomes a team effort between IT & Security teams and employees.

1. When does Sam step in?

Sam sends a message to the employee when:

  • They join the company and activate their account
  • A new policy is put in place: onboarding, security training, or updated policy
  • A security incident is detected

No messages are sent if the corresponding module is not enabled.

Employees only receive messages from Sam if they are involved.

2. How does Sam communicate?

Onboarding

Each employee receives a series of first messages upon their first interaction with Sam.

They are presented with a simple cyber risk scenario, and asked what they would do.

Trainings & policy

If a training or policy is pending, Sam will propose it via Slack, Teams or Google Chat (or via email if preferred).
The employee can access it directly from the link provided in the message.
Sam follows up in case of delay, until the module is completed.

Once training or policy is completed, Sam stops sending reminders.

Security alerts

If an employee is associated with a risk or alert, Sam notifies them.

These alerts are security detections, not punitive actions.

3. Reminders and inactivity management

If an employee does not respond:
⏰ Phase 1 – Sam sends a first reminder
⏰ Phase 2 – A second reminder is sent after 7 days

Final reminder → Depending on your internal HR/compliance configuration.

4. Sam's configuration

Sam can be configured in your environment (Slack, Teams, Google Chat) and works with your directory and SSO.
In just a few clicks, you can deploy it across all your employees.
